Positive: The view was great and the apartment very spacious. The family were very helpful and kind. All we needed was avail even washing liquid and pegs and a wash line. Tomas was very helpful in explaining directions to us. And we were 3 even though they thought we were only 2 but they soon had a 3rd bed ready. And when we needed a beach towel they were happy to provide. A great stay - thank you.
Negative: Finding the apartment was a little difficult but I’m sure if they mark the area it will help. A small car is recommended 😂 The bathroom was lovely but there was only a bath with a hand shower and no full shower. But it worked out ok.

Positive: Super nice host family. Very helpful. Was offered some of their wonderful home produce. Fabulous balcony views. Apartment was good for a family of 4. Good to have the parking, though tricky to manoeuvre the car at first, soon got used to it. A bit bright early mornings, but we put up blankets at some of the windows to darken it.

Positive: Balcone sul Vesuvio is a delightful escape in a beautiful setting. The top floor apartment in the same building as the owners is peaceful and quiet with wonderful views across the Bay of Naples with a panorama that encompasses Capri, Ischia, Naples, Vesuvius, Pompeii and the nearest town Vico Equinse. It is situated above the winding coastal road to Sorrento, which lies some 7.5km away. The village of Montechiaro is about 1km away behind the house and has two small but well stocked supermarkets. Tommaso and Francesca, along with their parents are welcoming but discrete hosts. We were delayed a couple of hours by train problems arriving and they were on hand to help with parking (on site) and luggage. During our stay they gave us supplies of home grown local produce (incl. wonderul Sorrentan lemons, and the apartment came with cooking essentials. One of the best breaks we have had in a while.
Negative: Driving in this part of Italy can be a shock and it helps to be a confident and assertive driver, and pedestrian. Given the steep narrow roads a small manual car is preferable.

Positive: Absolutely amazing 180 degrees view from the balcony. Everything new in the flat and very kind hosts. The traffic can be heavy in the zone, but if you don't mind walking there is quiet path down to sea or to the train station (both 1,5 km) - without luggage though. Parking is difficult in the zone, therefore it is very convenient to have private parking in the yard. But your car should definitely be less than 5 m long and you need to know how to maneuver it - due to steep and narrow streets to reach there.
Negative: Be aware that the flat does not have 2 separate bedrooms, the 2 single beds are actually in the living room, where you need to pass to reach the bathroom and the balcony and the other bedroom. So this bedroom has limited privacy.
